Hello, kindred, messy, and most beautiful human.
Most of my life was about finding answers—until I realized that the questions we ask are so much more important.
I spent a long time trying to define who “I” was. Then I realized that “I” just “am.”
We don’t fit into tidy shapes when we are continuously shifting and growing. Thankfully, at some point in my frustration of trying to pin myself down, I realized there was no need. I was able to allow myself to just be a person who changes faster than any fixed definition can hold.
If there is any constant within me, it is the desire to accept my messy, chaotic life as part of the point of being human.
I also know that as humans we need some sense of distinction and practical ways to explain things.
So—at least for today— I am Carmen: a mystic, a medium, and an eternal seeker of wisdom and truth. I also tend to use far too many words to explain things in excruciating detail in an attempt to be understood and say the F word way too much. In short - I am very, very human.
I know that through sharing the stories of my life’s greatest challenges is the way to healing for both myself and others – because we are all connected in this wild and mysterious experience called life. I believe that we are all meant to have the joy of unconditional love within ourselves and - in so doing – reflect that outward to create an external experience we can share and extend to others and further into the world around us.
This journey is not for the faint of heart. The path to true authenticity and freedom is the hardest work we ever choose to do and also the highest form of self-love.
It is the path of remembering who you are, finding your balance, and reclaiming yourself.
It is the path of coming home.
